ultraDriver Branding
The Problem:
I wanted to create a brand from the ground up as if I were responsible for the total design of a startup. I thought this might help me to think thoroughly through an entire problem, and plan ahead for my teammates who work downstream from myself.
The Solution:
ultraDriver would need to be built from the ground up starting with a logo and a style guide. I would start there, and refine as I went through the process. This allowed me to learn where I would fall short, and what I could do to prevent difficulty down-stream in my personal work.
My Role:
Graphic Designer, Brand Manager, Marketing, UX/UI Designer (Individual Project)
Tools:
inVision (Prototype), Sketch (Wireframes and Visual Design), Photoshop (prototypes), Brackets (code for emails), Illustrator (logos and icons), Pen and Paper (Storyboarding)
BlueJay Brochure
The Problem:
I was helping a friend come up with some ideas for brochure layouts. It was great to brainstorm some ideas for a new and growing business!
The Solution:
Working with 8.5" x 11" paper, I created an idea of a trifold brochure as well as a portrait layout single side idea as well.
My Role:
Graphic Designer
Tools:
Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop
What did I learn?
Working with clients and for myself is an endeavor that isn't to be taken lightly. Motivating myself to do the work that needs to be done can sometimes be the easy part, it's creating the problems that need to be solved and calling those creations "success" that is difficult.
It is ok to create problems if solving those new problems puts me further ahead than I was before they existed.
