Launch app for Apple Vision Pro

Role

Lead UI & UX Designer

Bringing planning into the physical space

This project replaced the need to physically build and review thousands of store shelves by using Apple Vision Pro. Instead of shipping products and traveling to test layouts, planners could now arrange shelves virtually and see real-time performance data—all in one app.

Designing for an AR product that could do photorealism was incredibly freeing, and the simultaneous co-located and remote collaboration was 100% what made the experience feel so engaging. On previous projects, everyone was watching through a monitor but being able to work together in space sold the illusion that it was there, and being able to walk away with the same spreadsheet in print form from before really gave a sense of work being done.

Color-coding seemed like the obvious choice for marking out specific products, however with products in the store being so brightly colored I would have liked more time to figure out how to make key information visible despite the products.

One option is that when in the "data" views, the products could heavily desaturate.
